Samamana and the Members’ Voice competing in the BCS election
Elections for the 2022-24 term executive committee and branch committee will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from 10 am to 5 pm in the auditorium of Krishibid Institute of Bangladesh (KIB). The distribution of portfolio among the elected candidates will be done on the same day.
Earlier, a meeting was held at BCS Innovation Center on Saturday afternoon. At this meeting organized by the Election Board, the candidates presented their election manifestos to the voters.
The meeting for introducing the candidates was held in the presence of Election Board Chairman Shafqat Haider and 2 Members of the board, Khandaker Atiq-e-Rabbani and Sheikh Kabir Ahmed.
After winning the toss, Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Managing Director of Smart Technologies (BD) Limited, introduced the other members to the 'Sammana' panel. The panel also includes Muhammad Monirul Islam, Managing Director of Computer City Technologies Ltd., Yusuf Ali Shamim, Proprietor of Computer Point, and Md. Jabedur Rahman Shaheen, Propietor, Orient Computers, Chief Executive of Perinnial International Mozher Imam Chowdhury (Pinu), Mosharraf Hossain Sumon, Chairman Speed Technology and Engineering Ltd. and the owner of Welkin Computers Md. Nazrul Islam Hazari.
Then, Eng. Subrata Sarkar introduced the members of his panel the 'Members' Voice'. The other members of the panel are Mohammad Nazrul Islam Helali, Proprietor of Golden Trade International BD, SM Wahiduzzaman, Proprietor of Microsan Systems, and Md. Ahsanul Islam, Proprietor, PC Garden , the owner of South Bangla Computer Md. Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan, Chairman of Startech and Engineering Limited Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan and Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Proprietor of Tech Hill.
After the introductory part, the two panel leaders announced the election manifesto on behalf of their respective panels.
Candidates for the election of eight branch committees (Barisal, Cumilla, Chattagram, Jashore, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet) also joined online and announced their election manifestos.
